Fishing Charter reports were great in Charleston and Folly Beach this week. Inshore action included good catches of Redfish, Flounder and Speckled Trout as anglers baits were hit again and again. A few sunny days cranked up the water temperatures just enough to get fish in the mood to eat. Fish were hitting Shrimp and mud minnows under corks or fished on jigs, chunks of mullet or crab on the bottom and many soft plastics like the Z-Man Streak-Z. We fished moving water near oyster beds, dock pilings and creek mouths to boat some beautiful redfish. Trout and Flounder came off rough bottom away from the banks in 4 to 12 ft of water. One of the biggest thrills this week was seeing how aggressively the fish were feeding. They were absolutely slamming baits providing anglers with a shock and thrill many have never experienced before. Some nice days gave way to wind and rain towards the end of the month, and at times the weather created challenges for us all. But as the warming trend continues I expect that if you want to get aboard an inshore fishing charter you will have an enjoyable experience.
Deep Sea fishing Charters in Charleston provided lots of action as Black Sea Bass, Sheepshead, Weakfish and a host of other species kept everyone bringing fish into the boat. We had a few large sharks follow our baits and caught fish back to the boat this week and I expect to see more sharks in our catch soon! We are finding a huge variety of fish just a few miles off the beach and things are just going to get better from here! Most days have been fairly calm out there but a few times our Deep Sea fishing charter had to seek the shelter of the jetties to keep everyone comfortable. We were still able to catch lot’s of fish though! To get yourself out on a fishing with me just email, call or book your trip online now.
Lets go fishing!
