This week I fished the waterways in Folly Beach, Charleston and Isle of Palms. Warmer water, milder weather and an influx of baitfish was a welcome reminder that spring will soon be here! Anglers have happily begun throwing the cast net for mullet and menhaden when the opportunity presents itself. The fishing overall has been good with the Redfish showing a little typical seasonal stubbornness from time to time while other days they will eat anything that is put in front of them. The Trout bite has improved considerably and with the water currently in the low to mid 50’s I expect to put more Trout in the boat on my next few trips. The Sheepshead bite has also improved and as it gets more reliable we will be targeting them when the conditions are right. There are some excellent tides coming up over the next few weeks and I am planning to be out on the water taking advantage of it. Give me a call or book online so you can join me.
